Primers

Do primers really make a world of a difference? I currently use Benefits POREfessional primer and I wanted to find another primer. A lot of people have recently recommended that I try MILK's blur stick. Any suggestions?

Re: Primers

For me, primers are necessary for both my face and eyes. I have combo skin, small pores, few fine lines however I like that it provides even coverage of face make up and most importantly keeps it on longer. I don't like using facial products that don't have skincare benefits as well and lately I've used the urban decay optical illusion primer for face. It leaves a silky smooth matte finish and has rosehip/argan oil some others things for skin benefits. I love it! It also lasts a long time, I don't even use a full pump. I've had it since April of this year.

I've also used the urban decay potion for eye primer for at least 10 years for anytime I use eye shadow. I don't get one crease in my shadows, my shadow applies more even and my make up looks the same at the end of the day as when I applied.

I do know however that some women with dry skin say they don't need primers, probably because the make up absorbs into their skin that it stays put? Find one you love! I've tried lots but I do know they make a huge difference for me.

Re: Primers

@jaielee I highly recommend Hourglass's Mineral Veil if you haven't tried it. I have combination skin and this primer is my holy grail. Nothing else smooths out my skin like this one does. Also, the longevity of my makeup is always the longest when I use this primer. I suggest you stop by a Sephora to ask for a sample of it!

RE: Primers

I like the Urban Decay Optical Illusion primer. It blurs, fills in pores, and mattifies (sp?). You also only need a tiny pea size amount for your whole face so it lasts forever.
