Need some help

My undereyes crease badly, I'm 28. I do have some wrinkles and fine lines. First I moisturize, color correct,  conceal then use powder, I don't bake. Right after I apply concealer it creases even more sk after the powder. I need some help.

If you can afford it, it's also probably time to invest in eye cream. Get the best-reviewed one you can afford, because it's one product where you totally get what you pay for. (I like Guerlain Abeille Royale and Dior eye serum, but I'm almost 40 and mid-career so that may be out of a twentysomething budget--would have been out of mine!) Also, if you have bags, SERIOUSLY try Hum Nutrition Wing Man. It works amazingly well to drain the eyes. Takes a little time, but it does work. (Also good for your liver, nice bonus if you party.) I'm a big believer in aging prevention in your 20s. it'll save you a LOT in not having med-spa services and reducing age discrimination on the job market down the road, as well as having way fewer lines for makeup to get into!

mine under eyes do this to. sucks

Re: Need some help

@Jessmika You might be using too much product under your eyes which can contribute to creasing. A good concealer shouldn’t require color correcting before, and if you color correct, you don’t really need to conceal. I find it I accidentally layer things too thick I get a bit of creasing as well. @ZakiyaBT suggested Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme, that’s what I use and I like it a lot. It’s brightening so it’s a good first step before adding concealer. I switch it up between Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye. Just sorta depends on my mood! After that, I blend it with my foundation so there are no lines, and I set it with the same powder I use for my whole face - IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores. The last thing I do is glently tap my fingers under my eyes to blend and smooth it all out and pick up any excess product.

A couple other concealers I like are Benefit Boi-Ing Airbrush Concealer and I’m testing the new Tarte Creaseless Concealer I got through a promo code with my last order. With all four I mentioned, a little goes a looooong way, you only need the tiniest amount to cover.

@alexasteph

Spoiler
I have been using the banana cream recently and I use tarte shape tape to conceal. I have very dark circles and I've honestly never not used a color corrector. I'm pretty sure I need one.

Re: Need some help

@Jessmika Try a thicker concealer. IT Bye Bye Undereye you shouldn’t need to color correct. Shape Tape is pretty thin so it doesn’t really cover it just brightens, at least, that’s the experience I’ve had with it. It sounds like you’re not happy with the performance of your product so it might be time to try something new.

Re: Need some help

Hi @Jessmika,

You may want to try the Banana Bright Eye Cream by OLEHENRIKSEN or Drunk Elephant Multivitamin Eye Cream to help with the fine lines. If you are looking for a concealer you may want to try Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer stick. It has Vitamin E and Appleseed extract which will help with keeping your under eyes hydrated. I hope that these options help.

Best,

Zakiya
