Naked palettes?

I'm considering investing in a Naked palette for every day use; however, I'm not sure which one would be best for me. I'm blonde with hazel eyes and pale/fair skin. I also wear black glasses daily. Right now I'm using the Elf Prism Palette in Sunset as my daily one, but I don't use the darkest shade much. I'm looking to expand my eyeshadow abilities and colors, and it seems like a Naked one is a good way to do it. Thoughts?

Re: Naked palettes?

You're very similar to me, except I have blue-green eyes. 🙂 I tried Naked 1 for a long time and wasn't thrilled. Naked 3 was terrible on me, but Naked 2 has been a home run. I can use any shadow in the lineup and it looks great. I get so many compliments on the looks I make with it.

RE: Naked palettes?

NAKED has mostly nudes with some dark colors. NAKED 2 is basically a nude palette with a few dark colors. NAKED 3 has more of pinks and rosy colors. NAKED SMOKY is smoky with a few neutrals. NAKED HEAT is like reds and browns and brick colors. My FAV is NAKED 3!!

Re: Naked palettes?

I think the Naked 3 or Naked Heat would look great on you 🙂

Naked 3 is very pinky/rose gold while Naked Heat is more rose gold/orange!

I used to have Naked 3, and I'm fair skinned too, but I couldn't get the colors to show on me. Naked Heat is very on trend currently though and I've swatched it in store and it looks lovely.

I love my Naked Basics. If I could only have 1 palette that would be it.

Re: Naked palettes?

I've only had 2 naked products, which were the Naked Basics and Naked Basics 2 palettes and I loved them both. I know it wasn't much, but I hope it helped! They're small and compact, so you can throw them in your purse for touchups during the day, and they're great for travel, too.

Re: Naked palettes?

I have all the naked palettes and the one I use the most is Naked 3 the colors are all so beautiful! I have used every color in the palette and the other palettes Ive only used like 3 or 4 pans and the others are untouched

Re: Naked palettes?

Since you said you have a fair complexion, I suggest Naked3. It is my favorite out of UD's Naked palletes, it has a pink tone to it with some beautiful shimmer and matte shades ❤️ If you are willing to go beyond the Naked palletes I suggest the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea pallete, it has some amazing high pigments shimmers perfect for what you described yourself to look like.

Re: Naked palettes?

I own Naked 1,2 and Heat. I love them all UD has amazing quality  and the palettes are versatile. Maybe if you can go to a Sephora have them do looks for you using a different palette on either half of your face and see what you like best!

Re: Naked palettes?

@bearhugger95 I own the first Naked palette and was so confused by what to use that I never experimented.  I own both the Basics palettes and they look wearable, but I never have time to apply them - I steer more toward my usual looks.  By reading many of the replies, though, I wonder if I should pick up the Naked II as I prefer cool tones.  There's so many options that I guess you could buy them some and return them if you aren't in love!

Re: Naked palettes?

Considering your skin color and hair color, I'd recommend Naked 3, Don't be afraid of all the pinks as some go on very mellow. There are also a couple neutral shade that will be sure to keep your look always looking different.

Re: Naked palettes?

Since the other palette you mentioned is shimmery browns, I'd steer you towards the Naked Ultimate Basics palette so you can get some mattes in your collection. The traditional Naked palettes have too many shimmers to make easy "everyday" looks on their own, in my opinion.

Re: Naked palettes?

Honestly, it depends on your style. For a neutrals palette I'd say try the Naked original palette if you like more of a bold looks, and the Naked 2 palette if you prefer your neutrals to be something you can build upon or keep subtle. Also, if you want a nice rose smokey eye I'd recommend combining the Naked Heat palette with the ABH Modern Renaissance palette. The Naked 3 palette is too light and too pink for my personal taste, however if you prefer soft pinks in your style it could be perfect for you. However, the Naked Heat palette is a really warm palette and you can combine it with others much easier in my opinion to really customize your look to suit your needs. I hope this helps!

Re: Naked palettes?

The Naked Heat looks super pretty. I don't have that one atm but own the rest. I would say it really depends on whether you prefer warm/cooler tones for shadow. Right now the Heat seems to be trending. Depends if you want a softer eye look. For ex: I find the Naked 3 not as pigmented so it's great for everyday where as something like the Smoky is great for night.

I really like the Too Faced Chocolate bar so I would suggest looking into something perhaps with a bit more variety especially if you are looking to invest in one palette right now. You might want a good mix of warm/cooler tones and mattes/shimmers.

Re: Naked palettes?

Hello:). The Naked 1 is more suited for warm toned people whereas the Naked 2 is more for cool toned people.  It's not a fast rule but if you're choosing just one I would focus on your skin tone.

Re: Naked palettes?

I have been all about the Naked Ultimate Basics palette - you can create a variety of looks, and it has more than one family of shades inside.

Re: Naked palettes?

Hi @bearhugger95,

I love the first Naked Palette. It is by favorite and I think that this palette works the best for every day and has so many nice colors that work for all skin tones.

I hope this helps!

Best Wishes,

Janean
