Mascara troubles

I've been using Benefit's They're Real mascara.  I thought I had found the best mascara in the world and love how it works on my lashes.  But by the end of the day, it is melted all over the top of my eye lids.  Any suggestions?  Is it a mascara thing?  I use MACs Paint pot on my eye lids as a primer.

That happened with my Benefit Mascara too! I had the Roller Lash mascara, and not only did it melt onto my eyelids but it gave my eyelid a HUGE rash and it swelled up pretty bad.. Lately I've been using the Buxom and Clinique mascaras and they're actually really nice!

Same for me. And I use a lash primer and an eyelid primer. I just can't seem to find a winning combo. I'll be following this thread.

Some mascara transfers easier in heat or by sweat. Try using Urban Decay Perversion as it dries down very quickly and adheres well to the lashes themselves. If not, try an eye lash primer which is available through brands such as Urban Decay, Benefit, Tarte, Lancome, Smashbox, Clinique, Dior, Blinc, Shisedo, IT Cosmetics, and Make up Forever. This acts as a glue and a way to evenly spread mascara onto your lashes.

Switch to a waterproof formula, or one that's advertised as a longwearing or 24 hour formula. You should also never use non-waterproof on your bottom lashes or it will smudge and run literally no matter what. My personal favorite is Too Faced's Better than Sex waterproof mascara. It looks great and doesn't budge!
