Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

Hi everyone I have been using the Marc Jacobs velvet noir mascara for the last year and a half and I had fallen in love with it. Lately though after a few hours I become black under my eyes and the mascara becomes dry and flakey. Does anyone have suggestion of other mascaras they are closely related to this one? Thank You

I actually really like the travel size version better than the size @lea2 could your mascara need replacing, it could just be expired now

Marc Jocobs Velvet Noir Mascara is horrible. I purchased the gift set Marc Jocobs was one of the testers sure glad I did NOT purchase a full size mascara this stuff flakes onto my cheeks even during application. Just looked in the mirror after having company and twenty or more flakes under each eye, lousy mascara don't  waste your money.
