Luxe Neutral Quad or Small Palette

I recently moved cross-country for a job opportunity. I feel it is one of the best decisions of my life. I initially turned it down and my sister urged me to reconsider. I'm so happy I did and want to do something really special for her. I'm putting together a beauty box for her as she always wears makeup to look put together for work. I'm picking up her favorite foundation (NARS radiance) and primer ( Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer Standard Size - 1 oz/ 30 mL  ) She keeps things very neutral for work so I'd like to find her a really luxe eye palette or quad. Money is no object. It needs to be super special. I was thinking maybe Tom Ford or Charlotte Tilbury but I'm open to other suggestions. Nothing really large as I don't think she does anything complex. It would be very helpful if you could recommend specific shade names as well. Thanks in advance BIC folks.

Thank you for all the recommendations. I was so super excited about this gift and asked what kind of eyeshadow she prefers. She told me she never wears eyeshadow and isn't much of a makeup person anymore. Apparently she stopped wearing foundation as well. I'm SO heartbroken. I had so many fun things planned. Whomp whomp. Now I have to come up with something else special.

Oh @sprocketta, I feel your heartbreak, my friend! 😲 Such a lovely thought on your part though. Is she interested in other beauty related care ~ skincare, hair care, nails, fragrances?

@itsfi I know she has a skincare routine of Korean products. She orders a lot from Soko Glam. She has a heated straightening brush and gave me one for xmas. I'm not sure what hair products she uses. I think I may have to accept that I'm the beauty product fanatic and not everyone else is. So I gave to go back to the drawing board. I was thinking of getting her a couple spa treatments but that seems so unoriginal. Whatever I do, it has to be super special.

@sprocketta I think a spa treatment idea is amazing ; anyone would love to be pampered with that and no one wants to buy their own! At least not me so I think that’s a fantastic thoughtful sweet gift! 🤗🥰

@sprocketta  How thoughtful of you! I’m sure your sister will appreciate whatever you gift her. But here are the first things I could think of: 

Viseart Theory Eyeshadow Palette Theory II Minx - there are several color story options, including some very neutral options. I see Sephora’s sold out of Cashmere, Minx, and Nuance, but you can probably find them at Beautylish or Muse Beauty Pro.

These palettes might be larger than you’re after, but maybe also consider  Viseart Tryst Eyeshadow Palette 0.49 oz/ 14 g , VISEART - Golden Eyeshadow Palette, VISEART - Petit PRO 1 Eyeshadow Palette, or (if your sister likes coral/peach tones as neutrals) Viseart Petite Pro 4 Apricotine 0.28oz/ 8g . 

NATASHA DENONA - Camel Eyeshadow Palette and NATASHA DENONA - Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette are the 2 neutral small ND palettes that come to mind. NATASHA DENONA - Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette would be ideal and quite a special gift, but that’s a large palette. Natasha just released NATASHA DENONA Mini Glam Eyeshadow Palette 0.028 oz x 5/ 0.79 g which is good for folks who like cool toned neutrals. 

I have no firsthand experience with Chanel’s eyeshadows, but check out their quads (screenshot from Chanel direct, but Nordstrom and other stores sell them):

@Sunnysmom  @blackkitty2014 , do either of you have a Chanel quad and/or can you give Sprocketta some feedback on Chanel’s shadows? 🙂 You’re the first 2 lovely folks who came to mind. 

The Pat McGrath palette I’d recommend is MTHRSHP Sublime Bronze Ambition. It’s one of the 6-pans. I’m not sure if anyone has it in stock anymore, now that I think about it... I know Sephora doesn’t, and PMG direct might be sold out. Selfridges might have it, but you’ll have to pay a lot for shipping from the UK. I wonder if Bergdorf Goodman has it... Hmm. 

You could order some PMG EYEdols singles... maybe the matte shades Burnished Honey, Statuesque, Deep Velvet, and (if your sister needs a black matte) Dark Matter, plus a neutral metallic like Sextrovert or Telepathic Taupe, and maybe a gold metallic like Enraptured. PMG sells some EYEdols as trio sets; look at PMG direct > Eyes > Eye Kits to find those.

@WinglessOne @sprocketta I do hoard Chanel and Tom Ford quads more than i’d like to 😂🤣 However, I’m not neutral kinda gal. Most of my Chanel quads are LE non neutral. The 2 Tom Ford neutral quads I would recommend are Cocoa Mirage (if you can still find it) and Soleil D’Hiver (which I believe sold out every where). Sorry I’m not much help. Another ones come to mind are Viseart Neutral Matte and Natasha Denona mini nude. PS I have most things (not everything) from Tom Ford, so just in case you need swatches ... I’ll be more than happy to do it 😘😍🥰

@WinglessOne happy to offer some Chanel ideas.  @sprocketta what an awesome sister you are and I know she adores you back! I  have  only one brother and I always envy anyone with a sister! 
I have a few neutral Chanel quads I use regularly plus one by C Tilbury. Chanel Tisse Essentiel is prob one I use most along with Blurry Grey, Tisse Rivoli, and Clair- Obscur. Essentiel is wonderful. Blurry Grey is newer. Charlotte T The Sophisticate quad is one I use almost more than Chanel right now as it really blends beautifully and stays on like a dream , more so than Chanel I have to say. I prefer these for every day very wearable shades that don’t have glitter or much shimmer. Chanel none. But... that said, nothing says luxe like Chanel! So... And with a good primer or creme shadow stick Chanel’s do stay on great. You couldn’t go wrong! If you want to see some swatches I’m happy to in the light tomorrow or pics. 
Today NM has 10% off beauty if they are included so that’d be fun! And one for yourself as a self congratulatory present ! Hugs!! 🤗🥰

I just got the Charlotte Tilbury palette above, and I really love it (even more than I expected). I think you can't go wrong with it as a gift.

Awww, @sprocketta, so sweet! So good of your sister to urge you to reconsider the position and what a sweet, sweet idea for a gift. ❤️ I gravitate towards the more basic colors when it comes to my everyday eyeshadow and I like these quads.

Tom Ford: Golden Mink (the original packaging is $88 but there's currently a LE holiday packaging - gold cover that is $75). Nude Dip and Honeymoon are also nice ones; those are in the newer wet-dry formulation. I think I read on the Tom Ford thread that there are new quads being released tomorrow - there are a couple of quads that look like they'd be great for work - one reminds me of the discontinued Cocoa Mirage (one of my fave TF quads).

Charlotte Tilbury: Golden Goddess; The Sophisticate; ExaggerEyes; The Dolce Vita; The Bella Sofia are all lovely

Natasha Denona: I agree with @ather; ND makes some beautiful shadows. Camel is one I like for every day. #2, 4, 8, 11 and 13 in her 5-pan palette are also good ones and have different colors than the basic browns.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Brick - Signature (browns) and Tuxedo (charcoal/taupes) are two beautiful palettes. These two are on my list.

You are indeed a great sister, @sprocketta !  I recently got a CT palette (The Glamour Muse) for a dear friend and she loved it. I like that it's small and very well coordinated so she can put together looks without having to reach for multiple palettes.

@sprocketta  Awww such a sweet sister!! I think if you went with Tom Ford or Charlotte Tilbury you would be the best sister ever. You could also look at the Dior and the smaller Natasha Denona palettes. The bigger Natasha Denona might be too much for her. But I know if I got any lux beauty brand I would be very thankful.
