Looking for an eye makeup remover

Normally I just use a make up eraser and water to take off my makeup.

I am now using a Laura Mercier Caviar stick + a primer underneath and it is impossible to get off. I am left with residue my eyes are goopy for days, now one eye is red. Not a good situation.

But there is a reason I dont normally use makeup remover- everything I tried in the past is super oily and just smears my mascara so that I am left with racoon eyes. Then I need another product/step so I am not left with a black oily mess surrounding my eyes. Or the alternative is that I am a racoon and the product is harsh so after 2-3 uses my skin is red and enflamed or feels like it is burning.

So with all that, does anyone have any recommendations? Going to pick one up with my 20% off 🙂

@simmy17 I use Paula's Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover, and it's the best I've tried of over a dozen over the years.  I haven't tried the Farmacy yet, tho!

My ophthalmologist recommended Johnson’s Baby Shampoo to remove my eye makeup at one point @simmy17.

@simmy17  Farmacy makes the absolute best makeup remover balm!

It’s great for all makeup and

is especially wonderful for making waterproof makeup come off like a breeze.  Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm Limited Edition Very Cherry 3.4 oz/ 100 mL  Farmacy Peaches 'N Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 3.4 oz / 100 mL Peaches N Clean  Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

@simmy17 My favorite makeup remover is Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm . I also enjoy CLINIQUE Take The Day Off™ Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

Re: Looking for an eye makeup remover

I tried the Clinique balm years ago and felt like it always smudged black eyeliner/mascara to the sides of my eyes and was a bit oily. Is that not your experience?

Hi @simmy17, it’s never fun when you’re left with residue when taking off your makeup. I like MAKE UP FOR EVER Sens’Eyes - Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser Standard Size - 3.38 oz/ 100 mL #MAKE UP FOR EVER Mini Sens’Eyes - Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser Mini Size - 1.01 oz/ 30 mL - it’s gentle on my lids, breaks down my eye makeup, doesn’t feel greasy or leave a residue. I usually reach for this or a micellar water for my eye makeup and then follow up with the double cleanse method for my entire face.
