KVD tattoo liner pencil

Help!!! I bought the KVD tattoo liner pencil in brown. I love that it stays on. I love the way it looks on me. What I don’t love is how hard it goes on.  Is there any tricks. I’m really struggling and about to trash it. When I rub it on the back of my hand it so smooth and glides but then when I touch my eye lid it gets stuck and doesn’t want to glide or even move. It comes out choppy and jagged. Today I thought maybe I’ll try some primer first but I think that made it worse. I could use any advice. Oh I also tried to wet it. Also didn’t work.
