How to keep eyelashes curled?

I used an eyelash curler, but after applying mascara my eyelashes are back to straight. Any tips to keep them curled?

If you warm up your lash curler it will help (think hair straightener or curling iron concept). 

You can do it with your hair dryer easily, just don’t get it too hot so that you burn your eye! Tolerably warm to the touch, is the goal.  

Then apply mascara.  I get great results with tarte, but we all have different chemistry....

using this method you you should use a mascara that is moisturizing, and I dont do it every day to give my lashes a rest.  I haven’t had any issues with my lash quality over time and I have done this for years

i second this approach! every time i do this i'm shocked by the results. i just point my hair dyer on my eyelash curler (which is metal) for a few seconds and curl them normally and it holds the whole day 😄

@jodipc This may be excessive... but you can get your eyelashes permed. It lasts a few months and looks so beautiful!! And if you’re adventurous, you can watch a few YouTube tutorials to DIY 😬

Had the same problem.  However, if you use "waterproof" mascara problem solved 🙂

Yes. Try Urban Decay's Cannonball Waterproof Mascara.  Applied it at 8 AM one morning, and was astonished to find that my lashes still held their curl 12 hours later when I went to remove my eye makeup.  (You'll just have to trust me when I say that my lashes do not curl naturally and do not typically hold a curl well, so I was thoroughly impressed by this mascara.)

I normally curl my lashes at the root, middle, and tip several times with a curler. Then apply mascara. 1 tip is to get into the root of your lashes and swipe upward(not forward). When you get to the tip, hold it a little bit. The idea is to let the mascara dries a little bit to hold the curvature of the lash. I like fuller lashes, so I always apply 2-3 coats of mascara. After I finish my mascara, I just a heated lash curler(mine is panasonic) and curl it again. So it'll stay curly the entire day.

*SORRY FOR THE LONG REPLY* I am blessed with naturally long and straight lashes (thanks dad) I always have to use a mascara that’s water proof, because of the wax that’s in waterproof mascara it helps to hold the “curl” longer. I usually take my eyelash curler and curl at three different areas of my lashes. First at the lash line (as close as possible), then in the middle of the lashes, and finally at the tips. I then apply a thin first coat of mascara and before it gets too tacky I curl my lashes again, in the same three areas. Then I apply another coat and repeat with the eyelash curler. My lashes usually stay at the curl, it will start to loose some curl but not too much. Also when curling with mascara on the lashes don’t press so hard, you don’t want to pull out any lashes.
