Eyeshadow Primer

I have double crease eyelids and they tend to get very oily. After 2 hours, half of my eye makeup is totally gone. Any recommendations for great eyeshadow primers for oily lids?

Re: Eyeshadow Primer

I’ve tried lots of primers but my favorite is the Urban Decay one! Also don’t forget to apply a really good make up spray! I would recommend the Urban Decay All Nighter, but if you have Oily skin then the oil control one.

I used to use Urban Decay because everyone swore by it but it didn't work well for my deeply creased eyes. After talking to the artists and Sephora and trying several samples I've switched to the Smashbox lid primer. As someone said, it goes on feeling a bit dry but it's like glue for eye shadow and little goes a long way. I've gone 18 hours and my foundation has had it but my eyes are still flawless.

RE: Eyeshadow Primer

I looove the benefit porefessional primer, though it's not specifically an eye lid primer I use it as one any ways and it works very well, I to get oils lids but even with the benefit porefessional my eye make stays on all day, hope this helps:)

Re: Eyeshadow Primer

I have very oily eyelids (and a double crease) and for me, Too Faced Shadow Insurance is key if I want my shadow to stay in place.

I use the Mac paint pot in soft ochre. That’s my absolute go to. If I’m using pigments, I’ll still use soft ochre over my whole eyelid, set and apply my crease color then use UD potion in Sin then apply my pigment over that.

I use photo finish lid primer by smashbox...it feels a little dry when applying but it does wonders to keep your eyeshadow looking flawless all day

RE: Eyeshadow Primer

I suggest the Mac Pro Long Wear paint pot.
