EYESHADOW

What's the best eyeshadow that you have used at Sephora? I really don't know which one to get

Re: EYESHADOW

@Anonymous It definitely depends on your budget and the kind of colors you're looking for.

My first "prestige" eye palette purchase was the Naked3 from Urban decay and I became a touch obsessed with them for a stretch. I think the Naked 2&3 are fantastic but I don't think they have much for warmer neutrals/browns in a palette that I know of if that's your jam. Tarte has the amazonian clay palettes which have a nice color range and they perform very well for the most part though I encountered some duds in the Bloom Palette.

Huda is also great, and definitely a step up quality wise IMO from the tarte palettes, but almost all her palettes go on waaaay to warm/pink-red for my tastes so I haven't bought many of hers.

As far a the best/my favorites go I LOVE my Natasha Denona Palettes. I Bought and love the Safari and I almost picked up the Biba but the swatches in the store were again- way too warm/orangey-red for me though the blacks/grays/shimmers are all fantastic. I'm still thinking about the Biba and the Gold but the limited use I'll get is keeping me from pulling the trigger for now. Otherwise I have the mini Star which is my absolute perfect everyday palette. The colors look bolder than they are on the lid (the blue is like a plum brown with blue shimmer that is so so so pretty and unique) and all play well for work and beyond. I really can't say enough good things about it. I also have the mini Lila since the full size Lila and the sunset are far too bold (and orange-red-pink in sunset's case) but I wanted a little bit of fun colors. They play very well and blend super nicely over my shadows from other brands as well and used lightly over some more neutral tones are still very wearable everyday

Re: EYESHADOW

Anything from Pat McGrath.  If you are concerned about the price (they are expensive but worth it) I recommend PAT MCGRATH LABS - Eye Ecstasyโ„ข Eyeshadow & Mascara Kit as a way to try out the brand.  If you are willing to take the plunge do PAT McGRATH LABS Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette - Bronze Seduction , you can do dramatic evening looks and everyday looks with both pallets! I stared at the pallets for a long time before I bought one and I have not looked back.

@kayphilli8654

Iโ€™ve been using my STILA - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow

a lot lately. Also a fan of Viseart and Natasha Denona.

Re: EYESHADOW

I bought the Natasha Denona mini Nude palette and I am in love. The colors are easy to wear and very blendable. I was a little suspicious if ND was really as good as people said, but now I believe that if the rest of her paletteโ€™s are as great as this one, the hype must be true!

Re: EYESHADOW

@Anonymous anything from Pat McGrath and Natasha Denona

Re: EYESHADOW

Whatโ€™s your price range? Do you prefer/need mattes, shimmers/glitters, metallics, duochromesโ€”or a mix of all those, or simply no preference? Without that info, I canโ€™t recommend specific palettes.

But I can suggest brands whose shadows perform great (easy to blend, high pigmentation, long wearing). ๐Ÿ™‚

Viseart: They make my favorite mattes. Calling them โ€œsuper easy to work withโ€ is an understatement. ๐Ÿ˜„ Their mattes are foolproof. Seriously, my first Viseart all-matte 12-pan palette ruined so many other brandsโ€™ mattes for me.

Pat McGrath Labs: My favorite duochromes. Most people go nuts over her Mothership palettes (with good reason), but I especially love her 6-pans. If sheโ€™d release a 6-pan full of duochromes, Iโ€™d buy it sight unseen, without hesitation. Iโ€™m still hoping sheโ€™ll release some duochrome singles soon.

Natasha Denona: High pigmentation, great color palette color stories (both her big palettes and her 5-pans), usually easy to blend... personally, I think some of her shadows are almost too soft for their own good, but they just require a lighter hand than usual.

Make Up For Ever: I have many of their single shadows and create my own custom palettes with them. I love their metallics and shimmers more than their mattes. These are the shadows I most often travel with, and I usually carry them in one of MUFEโ€™s super sturdy magnetic palettes: MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Color Refillable Makeup Palette, XL size. (holds 6 MUFE single pans).

Re: EYESHADOW

@Anonymous Iโ€™ve really enjoyed using Urban Decay Born To Run since picking it up about a month ago. The UD formula is one of my favorites and the shade variety is nice. If youโ€™re looking to splurge Iโ€™d go for a Natasha Denona palette. Of her bigger ones, I only have Lila but I LOVE it, and Iโ€™m soooooo close to buying Biba and Gold ๐Ÿ˜ณ I just have been able to resist! Although Iโ€™ll likely pick up her just announced Sunrise.

Other palettes I find myself reaching for often are Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Sweet Peach, but I also like the UD Naked line and all of NDโ€™s Minis.

Re: EYESHADOW

@Anonymous I have had nothing but luck with my Huda palettes! I have the full sized palettes as well as the mini Obsessions, and find them to be very consistent in quality. The shimmers and foils are stunning, and the mattes are very buttery and easy to blend. The Obsessions are a pretty good value because the pans are full-sized, just the packaging is compact. Theyโ€™re fantastic for travel too!

Re: EYESHADOW

@Anonymous The best Iโ€™ve tried so far are the Natasha Denona mini palettes.

RE: EYESHADOW

I REALLY love Pat McGrath, Natasha Denona, Tarte, Huda Jewels, and Tom Ford. Hope this helps!

Re: EYESHADOW

It all depends on your price point and the color story youโ€™re looking for,  @Anonymous. I would suggest Natasha Denona but those arel $135USD. Or, you could go with Anastasia Beverly Hills. Those are $42USD. If youโ€™re located in Canada, they sell Morphe. Theyโ€™re a great option and extremely affordable.
