Dark eye

I have dark eye circles around my eyes because of my genetics, but since my sleep schedule is not that great they seem darker and I’m really looking for a good cream/serum to help brighten the eye as much as possible! I have no preference as long as it’s not damaging to skin lol.

Re: Dark eye

@Zul3yka I've been really liking the INNBEAUTY PROJECT Bright & Tight Dark Circle Firming Eye Cream with Vitamin C & Peptides 0.5 oz / 15... . It is quite brightening in my opinion but idk if I've noticed long term results just yet. I know Naturium just released eye creams with a tint (2 shades) which might be a good option to double as a color corrector.

Re: Dark eye

@Zul3yka Hello! I also suffer from that, mine are dark and silvery though. I love the SEPHORA COLLECTION Brightening Eye Cream with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid 0.67 oz/ 20mL . It takes about 2 weeks to see results.

Re: Dark eye

I think an under eye serum with caffeine might be helpful @Zul3yka

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Depuffing Eye Serum for Dark Circles 1 oz/ 30 mL

Just a drop massaged in morning + evening after washing before your moisturizer.

This targets dark circles and puffiness.

I like the ordinary because thier price point is sooo good.

I hope this is helpful!

Re: Dark eye

@CynthieLu how did you find the texture of The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Depuffing Eye Serum for Dark Circles 1 oz/ 30 mL ?

Also, do you know what percentage of caffeine in standard in this sort of product?  TIL and SC didn't list their percentages to my knowledge.

Re: Dark eye

I don't know the answer myself @greeneyedgirl107 but a quick Google said that a typical caffeine concentration in skincare is roughly 3%. I feel that 5% would be a noticeable increase from the average.

The consistency of this is almost gel like. So not watery but not thick either. It's in-between.

Do you have dark circles or puffiness?

I know for puffiness sleeping at a steeper incline (head not flat against bed) can help drainage.(i.e less puffy in the morning) The act of massaging from below inner eye towards your ear can be helpful to temporarily reduce puffiness by increasing drainage of fluids that accumulate in that area.
