Condition called Blepharitis

After months, doc says I have a condition ( no infection) called blepharitis. It gives me sore to painful eye lash area and the corners areas. Good news it comes and goes. Bad news is when it's doing its fun stuff, virtually everything is an irritation, even just brow products seem to migrate. I'd be very interested in a super neutral eye makeup remover, eyelid/eye area cleaner (I'm fighting too much oil production eyelids and lashes). I'm thinking if I can minimize the sources of irritation, I may be able to wear something when not flairing vs nothing, and wear something that would be the least contributing when flairing. Help?

Re: Condition called Blepharitis

@DaveLarge , my optometrist also diagnosed me with this condition about a month ago.  She described mine as a mild case and suggested a few things to try to see if it'll get better - it's worked so far.  Here's what she recommended to me.  Wash eyes with mild eyelid cleanser from We Love Eyes (purchased direct from their website). Use a warm eye compress twice a day, Bruder Moist Heat Eye Compress (purchased from Amazon).  Lastly, take an omega 3 vitamin once a day.  I hope this helps and your condition gets better soon!

maybe a mineral makeup like bare minerals may be ok. the only issue is that your eyes need to heal. you can make it worse wearing makeup when you get a flare. if you dint take care of it you could end up with no eyelashes. this happened to a girl I work with. she has this and she tried ignoring it. all her eyelashes have fallen out and not frown back. she now wears false eyelashes every day.

Thank you! Since I'm not wearing every day, its easier for me, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. That's exactly what the ophthalmologist said, about properly healthy lids n lashes. I'm in line for a brow lift when the CV thing calms down and I get this under control. FYI, if you tie the hooded lids to job performance, your insurance will usually pick up a majority of the cost. I work with a microscope daily, so I can get coverage. Thanks again for the help!

I used to suffer from blepharitis @DaveLarge . My ophthalmologist recommended using baby shampoo to clean my eyes. The other product recommended was Ocuvite ( not sure of the spelling but is easily available at any drugstore).
