Charlotte Tilbury

I am Blonde and blue eyes is Pillow Talk a good eye shadow palette or is there a better one for my Blue eyes and very fair skin.

Re: Charlotte Tilbury

@Jillannharrod I have blue eyes and love that palette. It's foolproof, easy to travel with and doesn't; lean orange-ey on me. You can dress it up with eye liner or go for a soft day look.

I do like Huda's eyeshadows (other that mercury retrograde which was a bit of miss to me) and the palette @Brutalitops recommended does have pillow talk vibes as well, so I think they would look beautiful with your blue eyes!

Re: Charlotte Tilbury

Yeah @Cyncynn I'm definitely overly sensitive to warm tones and I misspoke, more peachy-pink but definitely more orangey/ peach than the quad

Re: Charlotte Tilbury

@Brutalitops

and I should have clarified that I have the quad, not the new palette lol

I was tempted by the new one, but you mentioning it's warmer than the quad makes me feel like it's a pass to me.

Sometimes I wonder if body chemistry impacts how some of these eyeshadows end up looking too, I even feel like by the end of the day they eyeshadow look looks even warmer than when I first applied it.

Re: Charlotte Tilbury

@CyncynnI wouldn't doubt it, everything shows up way warmer than it looks/ I expect on me too and in certain light it almost clashes with my skintone- it's no bueno.

That quad is gorgeous though!

Re: Charlotte Tilbury

@Jillannharrod  It depends on the look you're going for. I just bought the pillow talk quad (Unless you were talking about the 12 pan ?) and it is super understated. It's a great palette for work/lighter romantic looks and it's a cooler pink so complimentary to blue and great for paler skin.

The 12 pan is a lot warmer- more peachy orange. The orangey shades are good for my green eyes and they'd be great for making blue eyes pop too- I just hate how orangey shades look with my yellow-undertoned skin.

The one thing to know with Charlotte Tilbury though is that her brand is very... conservative? Muted? Subtle? IDK what word to use here but the shades all look super similar IMO. In the palette she released around Christmas time the lightest shades in each section all looked basically the same- 4 dupes in the same palette. If you're someone who's really into those details and likes to collect palettes hey, go for it. If you're looking for a staple use all the time palette HUDA BEAUTY The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette has a similar color story with a better shade range IMO and wears less purpley-cool toned than it looks. It's also got glitters and better shimmery glam shades. However it doesn't have the pearlescent light shimmers/ satins that Charlotte really does best IMO so if that texture is important to you go with the CT pillowtalk
