Changes to Marc Jacobs Eyeliner?

I've been using Marc Jacobs eye liner for about 3 years now and the last two purchases I was not happy about. It seems like the formula dries are little faster than before. Also, sometimes the applicator tip gets sticky to the lid? Then, I was cleaning it and the tip pulled out! I wasn't pulling hard, I'd often do this with the others. Is anyone else having this issue? Or am I going crazy? I would love any suggestions on a new eyeliner. I loved how natural and easy it felt to apply the Marc Jacobs one. Please help!
