What’s the best mascara for flat lashes I can’t seem to find one that doesn’t weigh the curl down

I have stick-straight Asian lashes and I’ve only had luck with waterproof mascara. My favorites are Cover Girl LashBlast in the orange tube or Lancôme Grandiose. I’ve recently tried Nars Climax just to see if it would hold a curl, but sadly it does not. I still use it because I like the formula but it bums me out that my lashes straighten out shortly after application.

So many great suggestions on here! I love the Lancome ones that have already been mentioned, but I am also a HUGE fan of the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. It does exactly what it claims to do and I do not have full natural lashes at all. This mascara keeps them dark, long, and curled without any clumpiness. Highly recommend!

I recommend the Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Lengthening Mascara Black. I have found it holds a curl for a long time and also volumizes at the base of the lash for a really full looking lash. Hope this helps!

If you use Lancôme CILS Booster Mascara Primer first it helps beyond belief, I use to have to use a eyelash curler, no more with this.  Not only is it easy, it works amazingly & even though I prefer using a Lancôme Mascara, the primer is so good that I can use other mascara brands (still decent quality), ones that come in a set etc.  When you use it try doing a few coats, until they’re good and raised, (it looks white when you first put it on, at first I thought it was a little weird, but now I realize it helps you see that they’re coated well, raised, separated etc.), try to get it lower on your lashes, working your way up.  Do the 2nd eye, then apply mascara & voila easy, breezy, beautiful lashes! I do really prefer Lancôme mascara, I have tried many as well, nothing really compares to Lancôme, at this time of year they often include the primer with the purchase of a mascara, which is wonderful & I usually end up getting all my Lancôme mascara primers free with a purchase, so it’s not an added expense - which is great.  They also have a Lancôme mascara kit with 4 types of Lancôme mascara to try, as well as many other options.  You’re lucky, best time of year to try them at a highly discounted price!

I have pretty average lashes. Medium-dark brown, not particularly long or thick. The only mascara I continue to buy is Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara Black! It makes such an insane difference, and doesn’t feel bulky or heavy. I would advise against the waterproof formula. I found that one personally to be an absolute mess. The regular formula has more than enough staying power that I don’t even need waterproof. I usually get the mini size because it takes me a long time to finish a whole full size tube and find it dries out towards the end. The mini is the perfect size to keep it fresh! @Valecita

I have the same problem.

I have recently been liking the Covergirl Total Tease Mascara.

But one mascara I used for years was Benefit Badgal Lash Macara.

@Valecita I have straight Asian lashes and the best I have tried that keeps the curl is YVES SAINT LAURENT - The Shock Volumizing Mascara
