Best eyeshadow primer?

I am also on the hunt for a good primer; UD primer potion, Two Faced Shadow Insurance and Nars all have bismuth oxychoride in them, an ingredient that I am very sensitive - gives me dermatitis.  Currently using UD Eden and don't care for it.  Eye shadows wear off me within a few hours.

Have you tried Shadow Insurance? It is light in texture and makes shadow last for 24 hours! If you find yourself reaching more for the shimmer shades, give Glitter Glue a try. It is SO amazing and giving those shades an EXTRA POP!

Give the Smashbox eye primer a try, it is the only thing that keeps my oily eyelids from creasing

I have oily lids too, and I've tried sooo many brands (from Sephora, and drugstore). The best one I've found so far is by NARS. Makes my eye makeup last all day without fading, creasing, or wearing off.

I really like Urban Decays SIN eyeshadow primer compared to Urban Decays Original eyeshadow primer.

I love my Urban Decay primer potion (the original formula). My lids aren't all that oily but are a bit at times.

Yes. But at a whopping $32 for 10ml it just isnt worth it. I refuse to pay over $30 for an eyeshadow primer. When there are other equally great ones for much cheaper. As long as the primer does its job im happy. So far the smashbox one is impressing me. Im wearing it now. It primed my lashes too fofor mascara. Score!

I have oily lids as well, my holy grail is Mac 24 hr extended eye base, or Smashbox 24 hour eye primer (they are essentially the same thing and formula is very similar).  UD primer potion and TF shadow insurance just don't cut it imo, they are too emollient for a primer and I still crease eventually.

I'm also a fan of the Urban Decay Primer Potion!  I have super oily lids and I am shocked that whenever I use it nothing budges-- eyeliner, cream eye shadow, powder eye shadow-- it's amazing.  Normally, eye shadow lasts about an hour on me before it's completely caked into my eyelid fold and nowhere else, and my eyeliner always smears too.  So glad I started using this.

I agree with the ladies who suggested the Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a great option for oily lids 🙂

@angiezh, I have oily lids as well and the eye shadow primers that I've found work best for me are NARS Pro-Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base or the primer @bakeamuffin mentioned, Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

I love the Too Faced Shadow insurance. It’s an excellent formul that creates a smoithceven base for eyeshadow and doesn’t feel drying.

I just started using Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion and I like it a lot. It just sort of "balances" my eyelids, it doesn't dry them but they no longer feel oily either. And it doesn't make my eyelids a weird colour which I like, it's really neutral.
