Best eyeliner for tightlining (and contacts)

I've recently started tightlining because I have hooded eyes, and applying liner the regular way takes up too much visible lid space. On top of having slightly watery eyes, I also wear contacts, which has complicated the matter of finding an appropriate eyeliner. The Sephora waterproof liner smudges on me as soon as I leave the house, and something in the UD 24/7s is irritating on my water line. Which product should give me greater success?

I have hooded eyes as well and I really love the KVD tattoo liner. I can get a really tight thin line right against my lash line without taking up space on What very little visible lid I have showing. It stays all day and dries matte

You might try either the Laura Mercier tightline cake eye liner that you use with a wet brush, or possibly the Bobbi Brown gel liner. The UD works for me but I’ve used that LM before and it’s pretty good! Good luck!

Hmm. That's a tough one. The Sephora waterproof is the one that's been working best for me. It's the only one I've found so far that goes on smoothly enough that I don't feel like I'm scrubbing at my eye with a stick. It does transfer a bit to my lower waterline and up into the lashes but that just added subtle shading for me. I'll be curious to see if anyone has found something better. So many options. Who can try them all?

Have you tried the Tom Ford liquid eyeliner pen?  It's double ended and has the finest tip I've ever used.  It's definitely very pricey, though.  You can also use a touch of eyeshadow primer on under your eyeliner for more staying power.  Works wonders for my super oily lids.

I haven't! I figured a liquid wouldn't work well for tightlining because it would take too long to dry.
