Applying fake eyelashes

Can anyone please help me or give me any tips on how to apply fake lashes. Ive watched so many Youtube videos and followed every step, and I end up gluing them either too far from my lashline or gluing them to my lashes, or the inside corner or outsides are lifting. for the life of me I just cannot get it perfect. I have really long nails, so I have the tartiest applier, and it's helped somewhat, but idk what to do anymore.

You can check out the tutorial

Re: Applying fake eyelashes

I've given up on glued lashes and instead am using magnetic lashes. If you can use eyeliner you can master this.  Best brand, though expensive, is Lash Liner Magnetic Lashes. Start with these before going to the cheaper ones.

RE: Applying fake eyelashes

It takes A LOT of practice! I love fake eyelashes after I finally got the hang of it! I use tweezers to help apply them to the eye and use as less glue as possible. I also sometimes cut a little bit off the ends to make them fit right. My best advice would be to try to place them down on the lashes and use the tweezers to move them into place before the glue dries.

I totally struggle also and one thing that helped me a lot is a lash applicator clip. They aren't on sephora but you can find them on amazon. I found them much easier to use than the tweezers I was using before.

I really suck at this! No matter what I try....🤯

RE: Applying fake eyelashes

When I was starting out I would do a thin line across the lash line with a black liner to help hide the band if I messed up and I use the kiss strip lash adhesive

Hi! My personal experience always try half lash first and don’t look straight in the mirror when you apply them look down and then apply

Re: Applying fake eyelashes

@Anonymous Magnifying mirror is key! I agree with the previous poster.

Curl your natural lashes and put a light coat of mascara on them to see the correct angle.

Try placing the false lash without glue kind of sitting on top of your natural lash to make sure it’s the right length, trim if necessary.

Place glue on lash and wait about 30 seconds for it to become tacky but not dry.

Press lash as close to lash line as possible starting from the outer corner slowly and sort of pressing into your natural lash bed, using the applier to adjust closer if you need to.

Press your natural lash and false lash together and wait for glue to dry. Apply another coat of mascara to seal them together.

* hope this made some sort of sense*

Good luck! Patience is important!

Re: Applying fake eyelashes

Hi @Anonymous,

I completely understand! I apply lashes every once in a while for events, and it can still be tricky for me too.

I recommend applying your false lashes in an area with really great lighting! You may also want to use a mirror with strong magnification, so you can really see where you're applying the lashes against your lash line. Lastly, I definitely recommend to continue practicing and experimenting until you find what works best for you. I hope this helps. 🙂

Best regards,

Laurie
