Need help

I just bought it cosmetics cc cream. First i pit a Moisturizer and then the cc cream. I prefer blending it with my fingers. Then it us peeling in certain areas? Where is the problem? Is it the Moisturizer, cc cream or blending technique? Does anyone has similar issue? How do I prevent it from happening?Plz help!

Re: Need help

@Tweetymarch Do you mean that the base is creasing or looking patchy, or that you have bits of dry skin peeling up and showing on the surface?

RE: Re: Need help

Whenever i am blending the cc cream with fingertip my skin is literally peeling off in certain places. My usual go to covergirl bb cream doesn't do that. But i choose the it cosmetics cc cream coz i need one with spf specially in summer.

Re: RE: Re: Need help

@Tweetymarch Gotcha. If it turns out that it's product pilling up, you'll want to wait a bit after applying the moisturizer to let it sink in more, or use one that is a little lighter.

If it's showing bits of dry skin, that's more of a skincare issue than a makeup one... you'll want to be sure to exfoliate two or three times a week with a product appropriate for your skin type. That will give you a smooth canvas to apply makeup product onto.

I am in my 40s and have combo-dry skin. I am a newbie in makeup. Can you suggest a exfoliant for me? Physical or chemical?

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Need help

@Tweetymarch With that in mind, I'd look to chemical exfoliation because physical scrubs can be too harsh or drying as we get older (I'm later 30s with normal-dry skin).

They're not cheap, but I've gotten the best results with the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength peels... using them 2-3x a week truly changed my skincare game. If that's more than you want to spend right now, the Ren Daily AHA Tonic is also nice, and it's gentle enough that you can use it every day without being too hard on your skin.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I definitely would try the dr dennis one.

YOu are taklking about this one, right?

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Need help

That's the one! I started out using them every other day, then I went to every day for a month, then after that I only needed to use them once or twice a week. I've gone around trying some other stronger products since then, but I think the convenience and consistent results of the DDGs are some of the best.
