Moisturizer

Trying to decide between Dr. Jart+ ceramidin cream, Laniage water bank moisturizer cream or belief the true cream moisture bomb. Which is the best? I have dry and dehydrated acne prone skin. Thanks

Re: Moisturizer

I received a sample of the Ceramidin cream a few weeks ago and was so impressed I ordered a full size the same day. Ive since then ordered several more to give as gifts (to my children who are marines in a desert environment but still kinda vain and care about their skin!). I havent paid any notice to the ingredients, I just know that it feels luxurious and my skin drinks it up. Sometimes I use it as a night cream and my skin looks good to the next day, hydrated and glowy. There is a good deal on this site right now, the full size cream and all sorts of extra stuff for less than the cream alone. Havent tried the Laneige cream but I have tested Belif a few times and wasnt impressed at all.

RE: Moisturizer

I love Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid (the toner). It’s honestly so good. I use it under my daily moisturizer (currently Keihl’s ultra facial cream, but I have used the Laneige water bank moisturizer before and I do like it, but I like the kiehl’s cream better). I got a sample size of the Ceramidin Cream to try and I like using it at night on dry patches because it’s rich.

Re: Moisturizer

All 3 moisturizers seem to be good products. I looked at the ingredients on the products and all 3 of them seem to have a fragrance so if you have a sensitivity to fragrance or you notice that you breakout more when using products with a fragrance I would avoid all of these moisturizers. If fragrance doesn't seem to be a trigger for your skin then any one of these would be a great option, it just depends on what you are looking to get out of the product.

The Water Bank Moisture Cream:

 - Water was the first ingredient and glycerin as the third which is a really good sign.

- The fragrance in this product does seem to be an added artificial fragrance and not from natural sources so just be aware of that.

- It does have hyaluronic acid, however it is in the middle of the ingredient list so there isn't as much as there could be for a product that says it is for dry skin.

- There are 3 different types of sulfates, so as long as you don't have a sensitivity to sulphites then that is a good ingredient for acne prone skin especially the zinc sulphate.

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream:

- Water is the first ingredient in this and glycerin is the second ingredient.

- Cetearyl alcohol, which is a preservative, is a lot higher up on the ingredient list in this product than the Water Bank Moisturizer. Water Bank had it in the middle and this one has it at the top.

- This has shea butter close to the top of the ingredient list and shea butter is a very moisturizing ingredient for dry skin. It also has ceramides, which help to lock moisture into the skin.

- There is also Turmeric which is a great anti inflammatory ingredient, so if you have a problem with inflammation this would be a beneficial ingredient for you.

- The fragrance in this product comes from the sage oil and bergamot fruit oil, but they are at the bottom of the ingredient list.

Belief True Moisturizing Bomb:

- Similar to the Dr. Jart+ moisturizer, water and glycerin are the first two ingredients.

- It does say there is Comfrey leaf extract, which is a natural detoxifier, but I did not see in the ingredient list.

- There is stearyl alcohol at the top of the list which can be a little drying, but would also act as a bit of an astringent on your acne prone skin, so that ingredient is a bit of a toss up.

Cetearyl alcohol is in the middle of the ingredient list also, which is there for preservative purposes.

- The fragrance in this product comes from flower and fruit oils, there are quite a lot of them, the entire bottom third of the ingredient list is all different flower and fruit extracts. So this one will probably have the strongest fragrance.

Hope this helped. I find it is easier to pick a product when you can weigh all of the pros and cons against each other.

Good luck!
