Makeup Separating on Forehead

Hi, can anyone explain why this happens or does anyone have tips for this. Lately makeup has been separating on my forehead. It is typically a dry and flaky area of my face, so I apply moisturizer and primer and this still happens no matter what I do. I've tried exfoliating and different primers/moisturizers. Any insights?

@raivenlee There’s so many reasons this could be happening, our skin changes due to diet, exercise, age, etc. Have you tried using a hydrating mask in the morning before makeup application? Even as an oily skin girl I find that can help sometimes. I use fresh Rose Face Mask 3.3 oz/ 100 mL in the summer and have just started SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask too. I also found using a primer that really helps makeup stick solved this problem for me, MILK MAKEUP Hydro Grip Hydrating Makeup Primer with Hyaluronic Acid + Niacinamide 1.52 / 45 mL. Then I follow with foundation, concealer, HUDA BEAUTY Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder Banana Bread on my under eyes, forehead, and nose, URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray Jumbo and finally a dusting of Hourglass Ambient® Lighting Finishing Powder Diffused Light

Your not alone!! I have this problem all the time! But have found a solution! First prep face with oil can be any oil u like I use jojoba oil its the best for my dry skin also cannabis oils work well too coconut works better for people with a lighter complexion wait about 15 min or longer if u have time then wipe ur face off with a towel to take off any extra oil before primer and of course foundation I use too face peachy primer and bare minerals complexion rescue for foundation the bare mineral foundation is the best I've found for dry skin because its a tinted hydrating gel cream really helps with not separating on your face and won't dry your skin out more! Then if you use setting powers it can also cause your make up to separate and become cakey I've found two powers that don't do that on my face laura mercier translucent loose setting power is great but my favorite is Becca Hydra mist set and refresh power its best for dry skin and will never cake!
