Flawless foundation

I need help! I'm noticing that my foundation(NYC total control drops in porcelain) just aren't covering enough... I love the foundation but sometime I look in the mirror and see my freckles and I want a foundation that will make me one skin tone with nothing peeking through... I used to use the Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation in dynamic but after about an hour my face was waaay too oily which is usually never a problem because I have dry skin but now I'm thinking maybe I just need a really good hydrating primer when I start my makeup so my foundation doesn't stick to dry patches because I don't like a lot of foundations at first but after about an hour with it I like the look of it way more... (I have tried the Two Face hangover primer and I did like it but I stopped using it and now I'm trying the Smashbox photofinish primer and it's good as smoothing but I need something with more hydration). I want to test out the Hourglasses stick foundation but I'm stuck on my perfect shade... I need makeup help ladies!
