Anyone know good dry eyelid treatments?

For about 2 minths now I have had severely dry eyelids and undereyes- all around my eye especially near the inner corners. They're red, flaky, and dry. Also my eyes are super itchy and sometimes they hurt.

Hi, @roxannieee

This almost sounds like an allergic reaction or sensitivity to something. If your lids are puffy and/or you have any kind of eye discharge, you should immediately stop using whatever eye product you added around the time the issue started.

If your lids aren't swollen, and your eyes themselves aren't red, I'd recommend a VERY gentle exfoliation of the lid with warm water and a washcloth, followed with an oil on the lid (I like the  tarte maracuja face & body oil 1.7 oz/ 50 mL , but any good quality/purity oil would work).  Make sure the oil doesn't get into the eye itself.

If your eyes themselves have been red or bloodshot, there's any kind of discharge, and/or your lids have swelling, I would see an ophthalmologist. You want to make sure you don't have an infection.

Re: Anyone know good dry eyelid treatments?

@roxannieee My eyelids got really dry recently (long story) and I used Cetaphil Night Moisturizer from the Redness Relieving line.  It helped in about two days.  I also like to use oils.  I think CLINIQUE - Clinique Smart Treatment Oilis under-rated.  Good luck!  🙂

@roxannieee When my eye lids are super dry i have always used KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocadoaand find it works amazing!!
