zero customer service

there is absolutely zero customer service at Sephora  I was given a $60 gift card as a GIFT.  I stood in line to purchase perfume at the store, scratched off the substance to reveal the numbers and attempted to buy my perfume.  When I went to pay, I was told my GIFT card didn't work.  I came home and spent over an hour on the phone speaking with four different representatives.  All told me to go back to the person who gave me the GIFT card and ask them to get reimbursed by their bank or credit card.  This is totally unacceptable.  Sephora has absolutely no customer service.
