visa gift card not working

I am trying to buy my cart with a visa gift card, but every time I try to hit “place order” it says that the order cannot be placed because there is an error with the card information. when I go back to look at the information it is all correct but the security code is not saved. I insert the code and try to place the order and the same message pops up and the code is not there. i’ve been trying to get it to work for the past hour. what do I do?
