vanilla visa gift card

hi, i keep trying to use my vanilla gift card to buy one thing. it has $25 on it and the thing I'm trying to buy is $15. I called the number on the back of my vanilla card and activated my card, but it still won't work. Then, I went on customer service and called them. They said Sephora (the merchant), has blocked vanilla cards, and that they'll try to lift the block on the card in 24 hours. however, it still won't work. can someone help? I made sure the info is right too. it's so frustrating.
