sent e-gift card to wrong address

I ordered a e-gift card and I was accidentally sent to the wrong email address. The email address has no mailbox and I’ve contacted the email server/domain owner. 

is there a way to get this rerouted or refunded. It won’t be used at all because no one is able to receive it.
