samples with orders

I am just curious. What is the point of allowing a customer to choose the free samples you want with your order if Sephora is going to send you wha they want or nothing at all. I just received my most recent order and the none of the samples I chose came in it. The order previous to this one had NO samples in it. Maybe it’s petty but I actually wanted to try what I chose. Instead I got what I specifically avoided.
