retroactive vib sale discount

I went on a skincare shopping spree yesterday, and I asked the specialist when the sale is going to be and he said it will be sometime in the next two weeks. When I said, maybe I should wait for the sale, he said I can take my receipt and avail of the discount during the sale. I went to the counter to pay for my purchases and the lady said it’s not true. Hmm. What’s the truth? I do want to avail of the discount since my bill is pretty high. Thanks!
