problem with gift cards' pin numbers not legible

I ordered a $40 and $50 gift card. When I received them, there was no way to tell which was which.  I decided to check the balance on line, so I scratched off the material over the card numbers.  Now the card numbers or pins are not completely visible, so the cards cannot be used.  I would like to send these back and exchange them.  Many thanks!
