lost points - bad form during covid, sephora

I am another one just signed in to see points were taken away during the pandemic even though I shopped at Sephora in Kohls and they didn't credit my purchase. 

Yes I was told points don't expire and now find out policy change without a formal announcement to members? I don't find that fair- Is there any way to appeal or get this change reversed, or points grandfathered back due to the pandemic? Kohl's person didn't usually work the counter as they were short staffed so I let it go but now I am sorry I did as all my points are gone.
