how to redeem points from receipt

Hello, I purchased some products in a store today and was told I could redeem points with my receipt, but I cannot figure out how. I realized a lot of people have asked this question, but I didn't find an explicit answer. Please help. Thank you very much!

This happened to me I just had to call them and they did it for me right then and there
