gift card scam

I was gifted a $100 Sephora gift card and only recently had the opportunity to use it. When I attempted to redeem it, I discovered that the balance was $0. I immediately contacted Sephora customer support to investigate the issue.

 

After speaking with support, I was informed that the entire balance was redeemed on February 14, 2025. This is extremely concerning, as I was not in the country on that date and had the physical gift card in my possession at all times. I did not authorize this transaction, nor did I share the gift card details with anyone.

 

Despite explaining these circumstances, I was told that Sephora is unable to assist further or provide a resolution. This outcome is very disappointing, especially given that the card was clearly used fraudulently
