gift card reward points

hi, i have a question about a purchase i did 2 days ago, i wanted to buy a moisturizer set that was out of stock in store, so the associate suggested she orders them for me online and I agreed, i wanted to pay in cash , so she said I can't place an order with cash and I would have to purchase a gift card with the amount and place the order with.. and that's what I did, but the reward points were not added to my account, so I was wondering if it takes time, or don't I get points for gift cards??

Points are not earned for gift card purchases however, you do earn them when you purchase the item with the gift card. Since it was an online order, the points will be added once the order has shipped. If for any reason you did not receive the points after your order has shipped, please send me a message and I'll be glad to help!

Iirc, you can’t get rewards points from purchasing a GC, but you do get them when you redeem the card.

I did redeem it immediately to place the online order.. but still I didn't get them

I would call them and ask about adding the points. You purchased it and earned them since you had to do the order that way. They owe you the points.
