fake foundation?

I recently purchased Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place 24-Hour Longwear Foundation 1N0 Porcelain and I’ve been wanting this foundation for YEARS. I’ve wanted it because of the claims of it being full coverage, transfer proof, smooth, etc. I’ve seen so many reviews for years raving about this foundation. When I finally bought it I was so disappointed. I have tried it 3 separate times all with different primers, powders, etc. just trying to make it work. Every time I’ve used this foundation, it has a horrible smell to it almost like paint, it’s like sheer coverage and I have to layer it like crazy to get it how I want, and whenever I put other products on top the foundation gets picked up or moved around?? It’s honestly horrible and just not what I was expecting at all. I’m just wondering if ANYONE else has had this issue or if there’s a chance I did get a fake product?
