Wrong item received

I was sent the wrong items and I contacted customer service and even talked to a supervisor stating there is nothing they can do even though I returned the item, they said the postage is facing a delay so I might need to wait even longer even though this was an error made by Sephora. I got 2 small items instead of what I had ordered and I ordered the items as a present, first the order was delayed and when it was delivered it wasn’t even what I had ordered. I’m not sure why the refund just can’t be issued as I’ve seen multiple customers facing this same issue online.
