Wrong Samples. No Samples. Who Cares?

I'm a rookie, so is this only half a complaint? Probably not, I'm going to make a mountain out of a molehill. ^_~ I routinely buy based on samples--thus I choose them carefully! Out of stock? I get it. Men's cologne? Don't get it. Box devoid of samples? I don't get that either. 

 

And, I don't wanna brag (/s!) but I've been Rouge since it was introduced. You'd think a VIB at any level would get at least one chosen sample yeah?

 

I'm taking a request list of almost a dozen samples to my local store (some they don't even carry, so idek) because of samples I've not received. These are things I want to try because MAYBE I'LL BUY THEM. Isn't that how it works? I'm not buying men's cologne... 

 

I know it's 'just samples' but it's indicative of declining quality. Is the sample program just too big for it's makeup bag? 

 

On the other hand, I'm spending less, so maybe I shouldn't complain!

I appreciate your response JamilaBT! While I understand substitutions are often necessary, I don't understand why I receive NO samples. Could you offer insight into that? I would hope Rouge level shoppers--actually I would hope all shoppers offered samples get something--but if Sephora wants my continued business, offer me something new to try!
