Why so hard to redeem a birthday gift?

My birthday is at the end of May. Your mailer said, "All Beauty Insiders are eligible to redeem one birthday gift per year during the month of their birthday." However, the automatic email Sephora sent me when I inquired why I didn't see a way to redeem a birthday gift at online checkout said, "You will automatically be prompted to include the gift with any merchandise order placed on Sephora.com within 14 days of your birthday"

 

I recommend consistency and clarity in the information Sephora provides customers. Otherwise experiences like this borders on "bait and switch".

Hi AliceHW, Sorry for the confusion! You should be able to add your birthday gift to your order from the rewards section at checkout. If you don't see it, please give us a call at 1-877-SEPHORA and a Beauty Advisor can assist you in placing your order with the gift.
