Why did Sephora drop Giorgio Armani Liquid Summer Bronzer?

So bummed--I just found out that Sephora stopped carrying the Giorgio Armani Maestro Liquid Summer bronzer, which is my absolute holy grail, and as far as I can remember very highly reviewed.  I emailed customer service to make sure it wasn't a system fluke, and they confirmed that they aren't carrying it currently or for the foreseeable future. Nooooooooo!! :(. Does anyone know why? Is Armani discontinuing this product altogether or something?

Hi killerkate!

I'm sorry we aren't carrying the Giorgio Armani Maestro Liquid Summer Bronzer you were looking for. Have you checked out their Fluid Sheer in the shade 14?

It's a similar liquid bronzer and I personally love the formula of the Fluid Sheer line!

Hope this helps 🙂

Bisous,

Sian

Hi Sian--I appreciate the response; I have tried the fluid sheers, and unfortunately I don't really enjoy the formula. 😞 I don't find them very similar to the maestro liquid summer. The liquid summer is much more opaque, doesn't disturb my foundation underneath, and doesn't show obvious shimmer once it sets, unlike the fluid sheers.  Bummer--crossing my fingers you guys to bring it back at some point, because it's awesome!

Re: Why did Sephora drop Giorgio Armani Liquid Summer Bronzer?

I was at the Armani counter today at The Bay in Toronto and the staff there told me that this product is being discontinued by the brand. They only had one left in the darker colour so I snatched it up.  Hopefully, it's one of those "discontinued until reformulation and re-release" cuz it's so hard to find liquid bronzers. But, if you are lighter skinned, have you tried the Tan de Soleil cream bronzer from Chanel? It's such a nice formulation but too light for me.
