Why Is Sephora Selling Gift Cards That Don’t Work?

I received a Sephora gift card that only has 14 digits, which meant I couldn’t use it either in-store or online. I reached out to customer service, provided both the card number and PIN, but was told they would not issue me a replacement. I don’t understand why Sephora is selling gift cards that can’t actually be redeemed. As a loyal customer of over 10 years, I’m very disappointed that Sephora refused to replace the unusable gift card.
