When will you start appreciating your Rouge members?

SO incredibly disappointing!

I attended the Holiday Rouge Event in Tacoma, WA. It was a ridiculous joke of an "event". Most of the perks available at the event Rouge members can receive anytime with our normal VIB Rouge benefits (ex. Makeovers). The promised bites & beverages were laughable, with mini bottles of water, bananas and minimal danishes. I spent over $300 and received ZERO samples freebies besides that heinous makeup bag, but again, NOTHING in it. As someone else said, I would have spent more if I had a mimosa in my hand and actually felt appreciated for being a top tier rewards member.

 

(Pics for comparison) Rouge Event perks vs perks for Rouge members available everyday. So what was the benefit of attending the event?

  1. Bottle of water & a banana (meager spread at best)
  2. Ability to purchase holiday items about 2 hours before they open the doors for everyone else (yay?)
  3. Mini makeover? Rouge can supposedly receive custom makeovers at any time, an unlimited number of times. So this event perk isn't a perk at all. If anything, byspecifying mini makeover, Sephora is saying that at the event they won't have time for the Custom makeover that you are entitled to as a Rouge member, so you'll get a mini.
  4. Personalized services from your favorite brands... not a clue what happened to this, I didn't see a single brand rep
  5. Limited Edition Beauty Bag... so this is what infuriated me themost. Basically, Sephora is saying, "Thank you so much for spending over $1,000.00 with us! We appreciate you so much that if you spend another $50.00, we'll give you this beauty bag that cost us less than $2 to make. Yay! We love you!" **eye roll**

This was the last straw for me when it comes to keeping up with my Rouge level. I'm done. If I can buy an item elsewhere, I will.

SEPHORA- GET IT TOGETHER!!

 

Note: the Tacoma Sephora Cast Members were very sweet and gracious, but seemedoverwhelmedwith the amount of people at the event. I blame Sephora as a corporation before I blame the Cast Members for this failure of an event.

I agree with you 100% I feel like if I'm spending so much...

I agree with you 100% I feel like if I'm spending so much money in store and online the least they could do is have their free samples available.. I can't count the times I've ordered $100's of dollars worth of products and they don't even bother to give you the samples you select.. not to mention the sales people act like you are asking them for something special if you ask for the free samples.. Ulta is way more generous with the samples and don't act like you are bothering the associates if you ask about samples.

Wow you have a valid point there in each of your examples!  Rouge doesn't feel special and there really are no perks that make you feel appreciated!  On a sidenote I LOVE cashing in my Ulta points for cash to use on anything in the store, and they regularly have deals where you get a large cosmetic bag filled with samples to try out!  Nice bags, not cheap $1 bags!

I agree with your post. I feel that the benefits of being a rouge member is minimal. As a matter of fact there used to be a special rouge hotline I was able to call for questions. That apparently no longer exists and I was forced to call the general line and wait the queue. I have no problem with the fact there is no special rouge only line, but stop advertising that there is one. I feel the perks have definitely dwindled over the years and continues to diminish over time.

There is a special line for rouge.  My sisters and I haven't been able to order for like 3 weeks and that "special line for rouge" has been of absolutely NO HELP!  We get different excuses from them when we have called.  Call back next week is the most common.  Then next week comes and still rouge line cannot solve the problem we having.  Records show numerous calls from us yet nobody lifts a finger to actually help.  

 

Bottom line is that rouge line knows nothing more than regular line and they could not possibly care any less about customer service.  Personal experiences so we know it's true and it's not just me either.
