What is going on with samples?

This seems to be an on and off issue as I'm seeing a post from two years ago, also 3 months ago on reddit but there are 0 samples available? It says in the customer service that there are two samples included in online orders, it's the whole reason I generally order online instead of going in store too. How long is this an issue? There's nothing between 100 and 750 points to redeem either?
