What happens to a product when it is returned? (During covid)

I want to buy some new fragrances but due to covid canโ€™t go in store and try them.

 

what would happen if I ordered a few roller balls, tried them at home, and returned them? Would I be ruining that product from being resold or used? Aka am I creating waste?

I read the policy but it doesn't say what happens after we return products. Aside from not being re-sold, do you know what happens to the products? 

 

If they are thrown out I will wait until covid is over to buy a new fragrance.

@jcoves usually, they are either discarded or sent back to the manufacturer!
