Warning - Do NOT purchase NuFace from Sephora Canada

Warning - Do NOT purchase this from Sephora Canada. I’ve owned the device ($400!) for less than four months and used it less than 10 times total, and the battery has died and will not charge (apparently this is a very common issue for NuFace Mini with lots of defective units noted, you can easily google this/read about it on Sephora Community Forums in multiple posts). I tried to claim the 2-year manufacturer warranty, as should be my right as a consumer and is detailed in the booklet included with the product, but NuFace won’t honour it if you live in Canada (apparently only devices purchased in the US qualify, with international customers including Canada directed to the original retailer where purchase was made). I have talked to several Sephora customer service agents who refuse to help on any way, either by replacing this faulty unit or assisting me with activating the warranty through NuFace because it’s “outside of their 60-day return policy”. Basically Sephora Canada is selling faulty NuFace devices that die within a couple months of use, with absolutely no way to activate the warranty or receive a replacement unit.

 

Abysmal customer service from Sephora, especially for a Rouge member who has spent thousands of dollars with their company of the years. Ive never been so disgusted with a company response. All companies have the power to bend their return/exchange policies in common sense situations if they want to - as someone who has worked in retail for several years knows - but Sephora basically tells you to go F*** yourself if you live in Canada and purchase a faulty NuFace unit from their store and want to get it replaced with one that isn’t broken (shocker!)

 

Big disclaimer: I never post reviews and am always the type of person to read reviews “with a grain of salt” because there are a lot of crazy people out there leaving crazy reviews. But I swear this product is not worth the risk and you’ll get absolutely zero support from Sephora trying to activate the warranty you should be entitled to. It’s disgusting. If you really want a device like this (I understand, I also did!) just save your $400 and purchase a competitor device like Foreo directly through their website and not with Sephora. It’s not worth the risk, trust me!!
