Waiting for credit card for a month?

I applied for the Sephora credit card on august 6.. as of today august 30, I still haven’t seen a credit card, or approval/denial of said credit card. I make $80k/year and have excellent credit, but find it odd I haven’t heard anything yet. I was just trying ti take advantage of the 25% discount and here I am just waiting.. no communication. Kind of makes me want to jump ship. I also have been seeing people haven’t received their actual cards to be able to pay their bills so it’s kind of scary to me. Yikes. What’s the deal??

Same here, I have a couple of Commenity Bank credit cards in good standing. I applied for a Sephora credit card months ago. My application status stills say “hang tight Comenity bank is reviewing your application. I have not received a response to my application in the mail and I don’t even have the ability to submit another application due to the status of the application I submitted months ago. I called all of the suggested phone numbers but unfortunately the representatives stated they could not help me and suggested I go in store to apply.

This is exactly what happened to me!!! What the heck is going on it makes me want to boycott Sephora. I’ve never had a problem like this at Ulta.

Same here! I went to open it to take advantage of the Dyson air strait sale  which has now ended. I am beyond frustrated. In store they made it seem like I would be approved on the spot.

Yeah, same issue. Been waiting weeks with no info. I called this number and they just said to keep waiting. There is nothing they can do until you already receive the letter in the mail. So no letter means waiting indefinitely. Doesnt matter if you have great credit/income or not:/

I have been hearing bad reviews about the card and process all over reddit so i wouldnt trust it. Just unfortunate loss with a waisted credit check. I have perfect credit and have never had to wait more then a couple days for approval. Seems odd since Sephora is such a large corporation:/

@zendra17 Sorry to hear about this! I recommend contacting Comenity Capital Bank once more and requesting to speak with a supervisor to see if there is an update.

Unfortunately tried this with no luck. Just repeating the same info they gave me before. Just have to wait indefinitely until i get the letter in the mail. Apparently there is a code on there they will need to access any info connected to me. So if no letter received, they said to re-apply again—which i absolutely will not waste another credit check on this system

I have called and they say they have no application status under my SSN. Sounds fishy to me.

Unfortunately the phone number for the Sephora credit card does not help. They can’t look me up by account number because I “don’t have an account” because I applied November 4th 2024 and have never received an email or a phone call or anything in the mail regarding my application. Now I have to dispute the hard inquiry with my credit bureau. All for the Sephora credit card, I will definitely never apply again.
