Vanilla Gift card not working for online purchase

Hello! I have a gift card that I’ve been saving to use it has enough for this Sephora transaction I’ve checked its balance multiple times however it is not going through it keeps telling me 

Unable to place your order. Please verify that your card information and billing address are correct.

I’ve gone over all the information multiple times and re entered the card multiple times and it still won’t work, what do I do now?

i just went thru the same thing on here & then some. come to find out the SEPHORA WEBSITES DOES NOT ACCEPT VANILLA VISA GIFT CARDS. from "customer service", i was told this, after calling & spending a good 30 plus minutes entering my cards over & over again, as a gift card, as a VISA, checking my GC balances online, etc. see: beating my head against a wall for nothing!! then i called sephora & was told. 

isn't that sweet? they SO care about us!

now i see on here that for YEARS people have been posting re this issue.

as i told the customer service oh so caring person, that it would b NICE if this were posted on the site somewhere, to save ur customers time, stress & nightmares. "oh i'll let them know" or some equally asinine response said in lukewarm voice. bless their little hears. for YRS this has been going on. sephorar really LOVES their customers! oops, i mean their customer's $$. yep, that's right. cheers 🙂
