So I'm $5 away from VIB, but since it resets per calendar year... Would I have that status for only the next 30 days, if I were to spend it?

You would be VIB for the rest of the year you earned it (2017) plus the following year (2018). Happy shopping!

You would have VIB status for all of 2018, however you on...

You would have VIB status for all of 2018, however you only have until Dec 31 2017 to qualify for VIB.
