Unsuccessful Authorization on most recent order

Hello,

I am a Sephora VIB member. I just made a recent purchase online during the Sephora savings event. When I went to go check my order status, it said unsuccessful authorization. I do not understand what this means, can someone please tell me why this happened and if my credit card was charged?
