Unsuccessful Authorization during SpringSale event - scam?

I have never had an issue ordering from Sephora in the last 10+ years that I have been a very devoted customer, spending thousands every year. I usually wait to get stuff until the sale events because why not? The prices are great then.

During this last sale event I made purchases which were all initially ok then marked as "unsuccessful authorization" ...??? 

I checked with my bank and they said they didn't deny it - it was even charged to my credit card at one point, checked my account info and everything matched. There is no reason for this. 

Is Sephora trying to halt large orders during the sale events? 

The customer service reps have not given me a good reason as to why this happened and I'm seriously considering boycotting Sephora.

This happened to me to I called customer service they weren’t any help either! This account I made is a new one cause my other account that’s rouge account it would also say unsuccessful authorization?!!! And for this account it’s doing the same thing, they told me wait 24 hours cause they sent a forum out for me. I’m so confused  I’ve been buying from my other account for a couple years and I never had a issue so what’s going on? I’m seriously thinking of not ordering from Sephora anymore with the amount of money I spent this is unfair!!
